It was a difficult ceremony, where the flow of medicine was working through blockages and resistance.
But then, right before the ceremony came to a close, I felt my heart opening and saw, felt, experienced and was my soul as it broke free, dancing in the space, knowing only the joy of now.
When I was about to leave the ceremony house, a shaman approached me. “Do you want to go with me and visit the Ayahuma tree tomorrow?” he asked. I said yes. I didn’t understand why he’d asked me, but I’ll always say yes when you invite me to visit a medicine tree :)
On the next morning I wrote a poem (I don’t do that often). It was about gratitude to the medicine for giving me such joy and insight the night before. Then I met the shaman, we walked to Ayahuma, and I read my poem to the tree.
I came to understand that it was Ayahuma, who had helped me work through those blocks during the previous night. She wanted me to know and sent an invitation.
